We have just entered the Xcel Center. The delegates are finding their seats on the convention floor, and I have located my guest seat.
It was approx a 25 minute drive to Xcel Energy Center from our hotel. We were told to be on time to catch on of our State's three buses.

There was an elaborate security maze as we arrived at the Center. Every compartment on each bus is sealed before entering, and that is verified with security and canine units again before entering. There are para military units and Secret Service guarding the bus route - one every 20 feet - and helicopters visible in the sky.
Our credentials were scanned, our bags searched, we were required to walk thru metal detectors and also wanded. After entering the convention hall we all separated to our various locations.
