Houston, Texas is the site of the largest abortion center in the Western Hemisphere and it opens today, January 18, 2010.
A 78,000 square foot facility, the abortion center, a Planned Parenthood facility, will be the largest abortion center in the United States, and the second largest in the world.
The center will serve as a regional headquarters for Planned Parenthood and an abortion clinic for second trimester abortions.
The six-story, 78,000 square foot building will include a surgical floor equipped to commit late-term abortions.
Continuing to target low income, minority families Planned Parenthood has strategically located the new clinic in the middle of Hispanic and African-American neighborhoods and directly across the street from the University of Houston.
